I'm glad that Mommy filled in last time, but she didn't tell you some very important things I did last week. On Saturday we went with Lily, Megan and her parents and Grandma to Gill Street. There was a band playing but it was too cold for us to watch them outside. I liked it inside where it was warm anyways.
Lily was sitting in my car seat for a while so we could talk. We were talking about all kinds of things, but I can't tell you. They are secrets. I was holding her hand and and she was holding mine too. Mommy said that we were flirting. I like Lily, but she's still a girl. Girls have cooties!
Mommy had spicy food for lunch, so I spit up all of my dinner on her right before it was time for us to go. I think that's where Mommy got the idea for one of her top ten. I didn't mean to spit up, but I don't like Popeye's chicken!
Sunday we wound up staying home and my cousin Sean came over and planted something in the front yard. Mommy says that he has to take care of it. He came by on Wednesday to mow our yard and water the plant. Sean likes to mow our yard but won't be able to soon because he'll be going to college this fall. Mommy said we're going to see him graduate. I don't know what that means, but I bet there will be a party with a lot of people to hold me. I like parties.
This week has been a roller coaster for sleeping for me. One night I sleep in my crib just fine, and the next night I'm in bed with Mommy. I've been getting hungrier lately, the 4 oz I eat at day care each time isn't enough. I want more! So, Mommy is going to increase my food to 5 oz.
We went to Grandma Katy's for dinner last night. Grandma likes it when I smile at her. We were playing and talking. Her and Mommy are trying to figure out our history. Mommy's made some contacts to distant cousins. They are descendants of my Great, Great, Great, Great Grandparents Patrick & Catherine Hines. Wow! Mommy said that we might get to meet them this fall.
Mommy says to give a Happy Birthday to Alfred. His birthday was on Tuesday. They are back from Germany and will be in Milwaukee for the next two months. They are very excited to meet me. Alfred calls me a King. I wonder what the perks are of being a king. Mommy said I'll get to meet them at Sean's graduation party.
I gotta run, Mommy needs to get ready for work!
Hi I'm Myles! This blog is written by my mom, but from my point of view. I just got a new sister Katharine. I'll let her post here too..because I'm a nice brother.

Mom's Top 10
Since I didn't take a ton of photos this week, I thought I'd fill in for him. It is amazing how fast the days and weeks have gone by since going back to work. I am amazed at how much I accomplish, I thought I was busy before he came along. Yikes...he's not even crawling yet.
This week marked the first and second washing of the Bouncy seat. I just cleaned it in the washing machine for the first time in 3+ months and had remarked to Tony about it. In the first 5 minutes, yes 5 minutes of Myles sitting in it, he poo'ed all over it! Granted, if he had pants on it might have just gone on them. But, seeing as how it was 85 degrees in the house, it was a no pants day. Back in the washer it went!
Myles has started to communicate. We have conversations in the language of hissing...between full fledged smiles. He is screaming a little bit too, the first few times he scared him self. That was fun to watch.
It is interesting how many things you learn being a new mom. It's very different than being an Aunt. I pretty much had that down pat. I will say that all the years of being an Aunt paid off though. Here are the top 10 things I've learned so far in being a mom...
10. Never remark that something has stayed clean, and how miraculous it is. It will be dirty the next time you look at it.
9. No matter how tired you are you will be awake and coherent enough to walk in the dark with a screaming baby and not run into anything.
8. Always have water while nursing...even if you just drank an entire 20 oz.
7. Make an effort to hit the restroom before nursing...it seems to take that much longer on a full bladder.
6. Wearing spit up in public is quite the trend.
5. You think being drooled on was gross when it was not your kid. News flash, it's still gross when it's your kid, you just realize it's a new accessory. Kind of like earrings or something.
4. You appreciate how your intuitive mind kicks in and all the sudden are amazed while you talk on the phone, hold the baby, and hang clothes at the same time.
3. To appreciate sleeping for 4-5 hours at a time, you wake up so alert and not quite so panicky.
2. To appreciate not sleeping for 6-7 hours at a time...can you say engorgement?
And the most important thing I learned so far...
1. Always shield yourself from the hose.

Busy as a Bee
Wow, it's been over a week since I've been here. There just isn't enough hours in a day. Especially when I spend all day with Brie and Dawn and then all evenings with Mommy and Daddy. I've been going to bed earlier around 9 pm so sleep is eating up my nights.
Last week I got a lot of cool new things. Mommy said she showed you pictures already. So, you've seen me in my Bumbo. I like it, but I spit up in it...a lot. I got some dark thingy's that go over my eyes. Mommy says that they look cool. They make it so I don't have to blink as much when I'm outside. I like that.
I also got a coool new light up toy. It plays music and has big things that light up. I think it's fun to watch them in the dark. Mommy said it's like being at a disco or something. I don't know what a disco is but it sounds fun.
Wednesday night we went to Grandma Katy's for dinner. Mommy, Grandpa and Grandma ate fresh asparagus from Grandpa's garden. They said it was real yummy. Daddy skipped out on it, but ate baked beans that Mommy doesn't eat. It was fun to see Grandma and Grandpa.
We went to dinner with Erin at Logan's Roadhouse. We were celebrating because Erin bought a house! She'll be four blocks away from us. Mommy is really excited! So am I, we can take stroller rides to visit!
Saturday we went to cruise night. Daddy has a 1969 Chevelle. Mommy and I were pretending that I was driving. (see photos) It was fun until I wiggled just right and hit my head on the big wheel thing. Oh did that make me mad. I still had fun at cruise night with Mommy, Daddy, Erin and Mikey. Greg was there too with a friend. We saw Grandma Karen & Grandpa Ed too. Afterward we went to eat at Tobin's.
We saw Grandma Karen, Grandpa Ed, Uncle Phil, Aunt JohAnna, Braxton and Grace on Sunday at Grandma's. I wasn't feeling good. Mommy took my temperature and said I had a fever. I didn't feel great, but I wasn't crying either. It was 101.4 at 7:40 when we were at Grandma's. When Mommy took it again at home at 9:50 it was 100.7. She called Dr. Kaye's office and got the Dr. who is on call. He said to give me some Tylenol and keep watching me and to visit them in the morning. Mommy took my temperature at 2 am (97.6) and at 7 am (98.3). I was feeling better but still not 100%. We went and saw a different Dr. He was nice. I weighed 12 lb 7 oz. Mommy stayed home with me and then Daddy came home after lunch. Mommy was tired so she took a nap. I ate a lot and started feeling real good about at about two in the afternoon.
Tonight I was not happy. Daddy thinks I was colicy. I didn't eat much before falling asleep. We'll see how long it lasts...

Happy Easter!
Mommy couldn't believe how fast the rest of the week went! I'm starting to get used to going to see Dawn and Brie every day. I've had a snotty nose for the past week, and Mommy took me to see Dr. Kaye just to be on the safe side. I weighed 11 lb 13 oz and was 23 inches long.
I got to hang out with Mommy at work for a little bit and saw Linda and Robin. It was warm out on Thursday. Mommy took the cover off the car seat! Now I can move around a lot better and can see what's going on! It was so warm that I went without pants or socks! Mommy put a mirror on the seat so now I can see myself in the mirror. No wonder everyone says I'm cute...it's true.
Friday was my three month birthday. I spent the whole day with Grandma Katy because Dawn and Brie celebrated Easter early. I had lots of fun with Grandma. Grandpa Carl was planting his garden.
Yesterday we went to Aunt Mary's for Easter. Everybody was there! Hailey was in her Easter dress. Thomas got a big robot kite. I got a bunny and a swimming pool. Mommy and I took a nap while we were there. We were both tired. Molly took a picture of me with Mommy and Daddy...see the photos to look at it!
Today we went to church and I went #2 in the outfit Mommy had me in. Mass wasn't even half over yet! Mommy isn't quite sure how it came out in front, as it was all over my tummy. She put me in my camo onsie because that's all we had. I didn't mind, I was in a fleece overalls and it was getting warm in there.
After church we went to Grandma Karen's for Grandpa Ed's famous waffles. They looked yummy! I played with Grandma most of the time. Aunt JohAnna wasn't there because she went with Jill to see the Blackhawks. I got more clothes and toys, one that lights up even! I even got a swim suit to go with my pool!
Daddy is going to get me ready for day care tomorrow morning. Mommy as to be at work at 7 am for a meeting. Later that night we'll get to see Lauren at the La Leche meeting.
