Train Rides, Combine Rides and Candy!

This past month has gone by so fast! Thank goodness Mommy takes pictures of me all the time, otherwise I would forget some of the cool stuff I do.

Last month we went to visit Creenie & Pop Pop (Mommy's Godparents)with Grandma Katy at their daughter's pumpkin farm.
I'm a Pig!
Now whenever we go for a car ride, I tell Mommy/Daddy where all the pumpkins are. When we were at the pumpkin farm I got to ride on a train!
Creenie & Pop Pop!
It was really fun and I did not want to get off! I also got to ride on a gator with Noreen. She was busy so I couldn't ride very long, but she let me hold on to the steering wheel, which was cool.

That night for dinner we ate dinner at this pizza place and I met Theresa. She has the same name as Mommy. I got a coloring book with Mickey & Minnie in it! I can now recognize Mickey and Minnie anywhere! I had lots of fun visiting everyone!

I'm really into saying letters and numbers. I can now count from 1-10 all by my self! When we go shopping I read some of the numbers to Mommy/Daddy to tell them what they are. They think it's pretty neat that I am noticing things like that. I also can say a lot of the alphabet. I can't sing the song though, it's too fast! I just like to say the letters. There is a game that Mommy and I play where I choose what letter is "A". Then I tell Mommy what the other two letters are just for fun.

In this video, I was practicing my letters while eating some dinner. It was really really good! I went through a phase where I thought all letters were "Q". But now I know better. I just like the letter "Q". Don't you?

Three weeks ago I finally got to ride in the combine with Grandpa Carl! It was really fun. He was combining "beans."
Combine
I didn't say much because I was watching all that was going on. I didn't want to leave when we had to go though. It was warm in the combine and Mommy said that I was making her even hotter! Her tummy is getting really big and I think that is part of her trouble. The baby and I run into each other a lot. Mommy can't help it though. After riding int he combine with Grandpa, got to ride on Uncle Denny's tractor! It was an awesome day!
Riding with Uncle Denny

Almost every day after daycare we've been driving out to our house. It looks A LOT different now than it did last month. Mommy made a video to show the progress...but she wants to make a new one that shows even MORE of the progress. I'm learning a lot about construction, I like backhoes, bulldozers and cranes.

I was super excited couple of weeks ago when Hailey got to come visit me during the week. Aunt Mary had to work late and so Mommy picked up Hailey at her daycare. We both took turns sitting on my pumpkin from Grandpa Carl.
My turn to sit!

Now that the weather is changing I have to wear long sleeve shirts a lot. Mommy says that I am growing a lot and am wearing 3T clothes. I just got new shoes last week and they are a size 10! I'm just glad that they aren't tight. I was telling mommy that they were tight for about a week before she got them.

I got to ride in the Combine with Grandpa again a week later. But this time I had clothes on that made me look like Grandpa. Mommy said it was a costume. Grandma Katy went with Mommy and me so Grandpa and I could take our pictures together.
The 2 Farmers
You have to click on my photo album here and enter the code to see the rest of the photos, they are really good! We stopped to see Mommy's friends Barbara and Dave. I got some 'treats' from them...not sure what is a treat, but I was having fun throwing their buckeyes around!

The holiday seemed to last for 3 days - Halloween. I'm not sure what it really is all about, but I got a ghost from Grandma and I know that ghosts say "boo". We visited Aunt JohAnna's and saw Grace and Grandma Karen, and Braxton and Zac. I got a slinky from Grandma Karen! I got glow sticks and even some teddy bear snacks!
Playing with Grace

On Monday, we went to Aunt Mary & Uncle Marshall's house. Hailey was a princess...and I was Grandpa!
Cheese!

Molly was a witch and Thomas was a soldier. Uncle Marshall was some guy named 'stinky sparky' Hailey and I were not fans of that guy.
Costume kids...
Luckily, the stinky guy wasn't int he room for very long. I had fun playing with Aunt Chris, Carol and Hailey's Grandparents too. Mommy let me have some candy...boy were Hailey and I happy to have that!

Grandma Karen came over and played with me on Thursday night for a long time. I was tired when she left. Then on Saturday I spent the night at Hailey's house again. It was way fun.

Hope you had a great Halloween - I know I did!!

Tractors, Combines and Backhoes

It has been a busy two weeks, but boy have they been great!

I got to watch Grandpa Carl drive the combine! It was so awesome. Every couple of minutes I would remind Mommy and Daddy that we were watching a tractor and yell "Tractor! Tractor! Tractor!" while jumping up and down.

The next day I got to sit in the combine with him for a little bit!
I couldn't ride with him because we had to go somewhere else. I was very sad and started to climb back in to the chair to sit with him. I hope I can ride with him this week for a little while.

The next day I had a very stuffy nose. I stayed home from daycare with Mommy. It has been a long time since I had a stuffy nose and I forgot how to breathe. That made for a very restless night. We slept all morning. I felt better after lunch and some medicine.

I found out the next day that Brie from day care would be leaving. I will miss Brie a lot, she and Dawn are the best. We took our picture together on Friday!

Mommy's tummy is getting real big. She says there is a baby in there. I say "hi" to the baby and pat her tummy often. A few nights ago I was patting daddy's tummy and saying "hi" to his baby. Mommy and Daddy thought that was real funny.

Last Saturday, Erin came to eat breakfast with us! We got to have pancakes!! Daddy makes the best pancakes. Erin likes them a lot too. She was telling me about her trip. I want to fly in a airplane some day.

On Sunday we went to Great Uncle Phil's house for his 70th B-Day party! I got to run and play outside! There was a fire, and daddy cooked me a hot dog. I got to see a bunch of my cousins.

I got to go out for lunch with Mommy and Daddy on Friday! I got to see a tractor! Mommy said it's a special kind of tractor called a back hoe. It digs in the dirt!
Mommy says we'll be making lots of trips out here. Eventually we'll stay here. I don't know what that means yet...but it sounds exciting to me! Mommy's posting photos that Daddy's friend Michael took from his helicopter! Whenever we are outside and I hear an airplane I yell "airplane!" If I see a tractor I yell "tractor!"

Last night Hailey came over and stayed at my house! We ran and ran and ran! Daddy made mac n cheese for dinner, but I didn't want any. I ate left over chili-mac instead. We watched Peppa Pig for a while and then fell asleep! For breakfast we had cinnamon rolls again! Then Aunt Mary came and I went to Hailey's for the entire day!!!

Lots of New Words and More!

It has been a busy month. I can now say that I've been to two different fairs. And boy were they different. I went to the state fair with Grandpa Carl and Mommy. We met up with Mommy's buddy Nancy and she was having fun all morning telling people I was not her Grandson. We saw baby animals there and I pet a sheep, cow, duck and chick. I liked the duck the best!

I've been learning a lot of new words. Some words get more of a reaction from people than others. Once when I dropped Mommy's sunglasses I said "Oh, shit." Everyone thought that was funny. But then when I said it later with just Mom or Dad around, nothing really happened. And then I forgot to say it.

I went to Hailey's house and spent the WHOLE night there!! IT was lots of fun! We played outside and ate mac n cheese. We danced a lot and then eventually we fell asleep. We had pancakes for breakfast and then we played in the water outside! I thought I would miss Mommy and Daddy a lot, but it wasn't that bad.
But wait, there's more!! Then, me and Hailey came home to MY house and she stayed the WHOLE night! We played tag for a long time and watched Thomas the Train before bed. Then we woke up and had cinnamon rolls for breakfast! Grandma Katy came over and stayed and played with us! We danced and danced listening to Elvis!

The next day was a holiday. We went with Grandma Karen & Grace to watch the parade! It was lots of fun and I saw tractors (backhoes), fire trucks, and police cars!! Grace was happy because she got lots of candy. I got to have some too. Mommy and I got too much sun that day though.

That afternoon we went to Grandma Katy's and saw Thomas and Aunt Carol, Uncle Tim, Aunt Mary, Hailey and Grandpa Carl too. Hailey and I rand up and down the driveway at least 1000 times.

Most people know that I have a Dr. Pepper pillow. It was Mommy's for a long time until I decided that it is mine. I sleep with it every night, unless it is in the wash which has happened more than a few times. One of Mommy's friends gave her another one! So now I have TWO Dr. Pepper pillows!! I love them both very much. I can tell which one is the new one and the old one.
[This is a file photo of me with my Dr. Pepper pillow. You will note that Hailey prefers a "taggie." She has a pink pillow like mine but her taggie is number 1.]

The next weekend we went to Aunt Chris' house for Uncle Denny's fish fry. There were lots of people there! It was the first time that I really have ever had the chance to just RUN. I liked it A LOT. In fact, I did it from 3 pm until about 9 pm. I did take a few breaks when Hailey and I watched shows on her ipad. I played with sidewalk chalk with Hailey and Thomas and then everyone else was drawing too!

Mommy's birthday was last week and I got to spend the evening with Grandma Karen! We had lots of fun running and playing. We went for a walk in the neighborhood. Mommy and I walked to the park later in the week and Daddy came to pick us up. On the way we found acorns and cherries. Soccer practice was going on and I wanted to play too. Mommy kept telling me I wasn't big enough and that the balls on the ground weren't mine to play with. I still had fun at the park though.

Yesterday we went on a road trip. We rode on a train!

It was really fun! Mommy took my picture with Daddy and then Daddy took my picture with Mommy. We walked around where all of the trains were. There was a train that was at least 10 of me high! After that, we met up with Grandma Karen, Aunt JohAnna and our buddie Gracie. She taught me a new phrase..."Aww Man!!"

Newer Words I can say:
Please, Thank You (do doo), Hi, NO, Mine, More, Airplane, Tractor, "B", "2", Aww, Man, Bless You** (**and not just when you sneeze, a cough, burb or other noise can bring on this word), Binky (birk-eh)

Big News - It's Fair Time & More!

I got to go to the pool with Grandma Karen, Grace and Braxton a few weeks ago. I wore this jacket that made it so I didn't sink in the deep water. I was a big boy and went down the yellow slide all by my self! Grandma and Braxton took turns catching me at the end of the slide. It was way fun I could have done that forever!

Mommy and Daddy have been telling me to be careful around Mommy a lot lately. They keep telling me to be gentle. When I get excited I have a tenancy to wave my arms a lot. Sometimes there are peoples tummy's or faces in the way when I do that. I'm getting better at being gentle though. That is good. Every so often I'll hear Mommy tell me to "be nice to your sibling." What's a sibling?

Mommy's been busy with working a lot over the past few weeks. That is ok with me because I get to spend more time with Daddy. We play cars a lot and listen to music too.

I got to go see Mommy at work when she was at the fair. I like pork burgers and rib eyes and kettle corn. The first night we went to see the sheep and the cow in this building. It was cool. It all made sense now that they make noise. I was telling Mommy about it on the way home.

I got to play with Hailey one night. We went to see the horses. I played with Aunt Carol and Thomas one day too. Then Hailey and I went to see the chickens that say "balk balk balk" and I was talking to them a lot.

We saw Jared with his sheep. I didn't think his sheep liked me, it kept yelling "baa" at me. Mommy kept telling me it was ok though.

On Saturday, Mommy had to work and Daddy went to the fair too. So I got to stay home with Grandma Karen and Grace. We played and played. I was still up when Mommy got home. On Sunday we got to see Grandpa Carl & Grandma Katy for a little bit before Mommy went to work again. On Monday, we slept in because Mommy took the day off and wanted to eat breakfast with me.

Last night we went for a walk at the park with a bunch of other kids and their mommies. They were all being carried. I like to walk. Mommy bought me a harness so that I stay close. We were testing it out, and it doesn't bother me too much. Mommy says she might take me to the State Fair on Monday. I hope I get to go with her.

Mom's notes:
* It is amazing how fast he learns! Within two days of being at the fair he now knows a sheep says baa, a cow says moo, and chickens say balk, balk, balk.
* Hailey was yelling for Myles one day when she was at the fair. Myles had already gone home though.
* Myles will have a sister late in December, please pray that the baby is not born on Dec 25!!

Summer Fun

Ok so I finally got to run. And not the kind where Mommy says "STOP". We went to this place that had triangles and lines on it (BHS on June 24). We met up with Grandma Karen too. there were lots of other kids there. Mommy said like maybe 200 or so. I got this number thing that Mommy put on my back. Then we got in this big group and they said "GO".

All of the sudden I was behind everyone. It was fun to watch the older kids running! I decided to walk. It was pretty warm out. Mommy was there with me. There were triangles every so often on the ground, I wanted to count them. When I got to the end, some kids gave me a ribbon.
That Sunday I got to ride on a train! I went with Daddy and Grandma Karen. Mommy had to do some work at a camp. She told me to have fun without her. And I did! The train is really loud, but it didn't scare me. I sat with Daddy and looked out the window as we rode from the train station to the train yard.
Then we got off the train and walked around at the other trains parked in the lot. After we rode the train we went to a nearby park to wait for Mommy to get done working. I got to swing and go down the slide!! It was super fun!

We had lots of dinners at Grandma Katy & Grandpa Carl's house. Grandma lets me turn on the shamrock light in the kitchen! Sometimes I get to see Hailey when I'm there. I got to spend a whole afternoon at Hailey's house on one Sunday (July 3). That was tons of fun. We played with all of her toys and I got to ride on her cool tricycle.

Monday was Daddy's favorite day of the year. Well, except probably his, mine and Mommy's birthdays. It was fireworks day. WE went to Aunt Mary's during the day. I got to see Thomas, Aunt Carol, Grandma Katy, Grandpa Carl, Uncle Marshall, and his parents too. I took a long nap and then played outside with Hailey's water toys.

After that, we went and Daddy did his thing. I got to see Lily, Megan and their parents plus Grandma Karen & Grandpa Ed. I was tired though and slept through the good stuff. Turns out that I wasn't feeling well the next day and went to to see Dr. Kaye on Wednesday.

She said that one of my ear tubes had fallen out, but I wasn't that sick so I didn't get any medicine. Mommy was worried about my tubes falling out, so I went to see Dr. Russel who is my ear doctor. They did some tests and I found out that I didn't have either of them AND that they had fluid in them already. He said that I need to get new tubes, and the kind that are going to last a lot longer. Since I've had more sinus infections this spring I'm going to get my adenoids out too. I don't really know what they are but if it makes my snotty nose go away in the winter, I'll take it. So now I wait until August 18.

I'm talking a lot more. I really like to talk to Daddy. You can see here in this video.

I got to see Hailey three times this week! I saw her on Sunday at Grandma Katy's, on Tuesday at her daycare, and on Wednesday after Mommy picked her up from daycare and brought her to our house. Hailey really likes to play with me. Aunt Mary said that she woke up and asked if she could come to my house. I told Aunt Mary that she can come over anytime. Maybe she'll spend the night!

This week it's been REALLY hot. At daycare we've been playing outside right after breakfast. I thought it was too hot on Tuesday though, and when they called us to go outside, I ran the other way to the toy room. I like it to be warm, but it is just TOO hot.

Hope you are staying cool, talk to you again soon!

More Teeth and Lots of Learning

The past few weeks have been really fun for me. I got to go to the pool. I went with Lily and Megan's dad Mike first. He played with me a lot and made me feel comfortable in the water. I was happy that I could walk around in the water. I like to take big steps. The second time I went Lily and Megan and Angela were there too. I wanted to go down the slide like Megan. So I did. And after the second time I like it! I haven't learned how to sit up when going down the slide yet, so I sometimes end up with my feet pointing up the slide. Mommy goes down the yellow slides with me, they are too fast for me to go by myself. The water is much deeper there too. I can't touch the ground.

After we go swimming we are usually hungry! Mommy usually brings snacks for me to eat but I ate a hot dog and chips with cheese sauce. Mike was showing me how to dip them. You have to say 'chip chip, dip dip' when you do it.

I have been eating a lot of fresh foods lately. Mommy and I were on a strawberry kick for a while. I split a pint of strawberries with her...well actually I ate more of them than she did.

I like to dance. I dance a lot, but not for very long. I get distracted usually...because I have lots of toys. Mommy did get a few seconds of me dancing on video.

Thanks to Mommy and Sue (Lily's G-ma) I've got a slide and a car ramp. I can climb up my slide, but need some help with getting in the position to go down! The ride is short, but it makes me smile every time.

Mommy let me use these cool sticks the other day! She called them markers. I like them a lot. They make the page have these things on them. They show up magically! I only managed to get some of the things show up on me, but when I took a bath after, they went away. Not sure how that happened. They stayed on the thing I was using before in my high chair.

Drawing!

Last Sunday was Daddy day. I love my Daddy a lot. We get ready in the morning and Daddy puts this stuff on under his arms. Then he puts some on me too! (with the cap on) We grilled out at Grandma Katy's in the afternoon and had steaks cooked by Uncle Tim. Then for dinner we went to Grandma Karen's and had some chicken and pork made by Grandpa Ed. I ate a lot of corn on Sunday!

Hope you are having as fun of a summer as I am!! I hope to see you soon!

17 months and counting...

I turn another month older on Thursday. I don't feel any different. Thursday is also my cousin Sean & Thomas' birthdays! I wonder what we will do to celebrate them.

I've been reading a lot lately. Grandma Katy got me a new book about things on the Farm. It has a picture of a rooster, a pig and a cow. My favorite picture is the tractor. I can say tractor, and I like to say it a lot.

A lot of things have happened over the past month. I got to visit the Dr. a few times. First for strep throat and most recently for a sinus infection. At least this time I got to see Dr. Kaye. I go back to see her next month to get a shot. Yikes. Mommy uploaded a picture of the hives that I've got. They are not fun.

I like to run. I run fast. Sometimes I run faster than my feet can keep up. That leads to lots of falls. Luckily I have a hard head. It comes in handy, especially when I fall down stairs. I really shouldn't go down stairs when I'm really tired.

I went to the parade yesterday! I saw lots of flags, people and politicians. Grandpa Ed gave me a flag to wave, I had one in each hand! I saw horses, and a few bands too! I got to see Grace and Aunt JohAnna, Grandma Karen, Grandpa Ed, Grandpa Carl, Aunt Mary, Uncle Marshall, Hailey and Barbara too! After that we went to breakfast with Daddy and G-ma Karen & G-pa Ed, JohAnna, and Grace. Then we went to G-ma Katy & G-pa Carl's to cook out!

We cooked out at G-ma Karen's on Sunday. I ate a whole ear of corn! Luckily Aunt JohAnna cut it off of the cob for me. I can't wait to have more corn.

We went and had pictures taken with Mr. Bob. He is funny and makes Daddy smile. That is not easy to do for most people, well, it is easy for me though. Mommy will show the pictures in my album soon!

April Happenings

It is Easter tomorrow. I know this because Mommy already took photos of me with ears on my head with Lily and Khloe. I was a good boy and kept the ears on for longer than anyone.

I went to St. Louis for a wedding with Mommy and Daddy. (4/9) It was for my second cousin Chris. They got married when it was REAL HOT. And sunny, man was it sunny. It was cool though. I got to dance with girls and Grace. We stayed right across from the field. It was really cool. There were fireworks when it got dark. I watched them with Daddy.

On the next Wednesday, I went to the park in Normal with Mommy's friend Chris B. It was super fun! They have a blue swing and I was swinging really high! I would fly a little and it scared me a bit, but I got used to it eventually. Mommy was swinging with me for a little bit.

On Sunday we went to the park to meet up with Khloe and Lily. We had a egg hunt. It was a race to put the eggs in the bucket. It was fun to get the eggs and put them in the bucket. I hope I can do that today at Aunt Mary's. We are going over there for Easter fun!

Happy Easter to you!!

Did you know??
April 1 - I left Mommy a present in the hallway after taking a bath. April Fools!
April 8 - I got my first haircut! I was a good boy too.
April 19 - I've got more teeth - two more on the bottom! 10 total!

Family, Green, and Corned Beef and Other Things

So we got to go to this big building where there was a car. I have books about him. I got to get my picture taken with him. We got to ride on a staircase that moved. I didn't even get to climb the stairs, they moved all by themselves!

After that, it has been all about St. Patrick's Day. It all started with Grandma Katy's party. I got to see my good friends Khloe, Lily and Megan. I played with Hailey and Thomas. I was even playing with Grace and Braxton. I played with Luci and Ian and even Amber and Natalie. Mommy was always close by. Otherwise I would get mad. It's a good day when you can see both Grandma's and Grandpa's at the same time in the same place.

Mommy left to go to Grandma's to help set up. I was not happy about this. It's not that I don't like being with Daddy...I just really like being with Mommy too. So, after Mommy left, I waited to see if she would come back. I had my Dr. Pepper pillow and just laid down next to the door where the thing is that takes us places.

I eventually realized that she wasn't coming back, and finally started to play again. Daddy needed to take a bath, so he let me stay in him and Mommy's bedroom so I wouldn't run all over the house. That is a good thing. He trusts me to not get into too much trouble. I was being a good boy, but then I saw one of those things with all of buttons. The buttons were calling me "press me" "press me". So I picked it up. All sudden music came on!! I tried to turn it off quickly, but it kept getting louder and LOUDER! It was so loud I thought Daddy was going to hear me over his shower!! I was pushing all of the buttons I could and eventually found the red one, and then finally...it got quiet. Now Daddy would never know that I did that. I put the thing back on the table and ran back over to the mirror. I like to play in the mirror. It does everything I do.

Mommy and I went to the park when it was warm. It is too bad that it is cold again. I want to go play outside. Mommy got a stroller with big wheels from Lily's mom.

I like to play with keys. Colored ones and especially the shiny ones. I got a hold of Mommy's one day. She was in the room where I take a bath. I was punching all of the buttons on one of the things with the keys. All of the sudden, Daddy asks why Mommy's car horn is beeping. Mommy said she didn't know why. Daddy said that was odd, so he waited to listen some more. I just kept on pushing the buttons, I like them because they are different sizes and shapes. I walked over to Daddy to show him what I was doing because I was having so much fun. Daddy saw me and told Mommy that I was playing with her keys. Daddy was laughing pretty hard now. Mommy got kinda mad at him because she wanted him to take the keys back from me.

I wanted to show Mommy what I was doing so I went in the rooms she was in. She tried to take the keys from me so I moved just far enough away that she couldn't reach me. Now she was laughing too, but wanted Daddy to get the keys back from me. Daddy was laughing so hard he said he couldn't walk to find me. He eventually got the keys from me. Daddy said that I started Mommy's car. It was fun to watch Mommy and Daddy laughing so hard though.

More stories to come! Happy late birthday to Grandma Karen and Lily & Megan's dad Mikey.

XoXo,
Myles

1 Year Check-Up, Valentines, Snow, and More

Uh, my life is a lot busier now. For example, I just went to see Dr. Kaye for my one year shots on Friday. I got four shots. One in each arm and two in my leg. But more on that later.

It's a good thing that Mommy takes photos of the things I do. I don't know that I could remember it all. We had a BIG snow and so that meant Mommy wanted to take me sledding again. She hasn't quite figured out yet that I don't like to be all bundled up. So we go to Grandma Katy's and by the time I'm all dressed up and ready to go out. I'm hot and tired. The worst part of it is that Aunt Carol kept me company until Mommy made a path that she felt was safe enough for me to go down with her on.

Mommy gave up on me having fun outside and let me go back in with Grandma Katy where it's warm. I like to play in her house, she has lots of toys. There are tractors and a van I can push around too. Thomas and Mommy dug a tunnel in the snow banks that Grandpa Carl made with his skid steer. He even brought it to our house to plow the driveway!

The next day we had company! We had Grandma Karen, Grandpa Ed, Great Uncle Phil & Great Aunt Barb, Grace and Aunt JohAnna over for the big game. To be honest with you, I didn't really watch much of it. I was just happy to have Grace to play with me. We were racing around the room. Aunt Barb and Grandma gave me my dinner. I was a tired boy and didn't go to bed until the game was over.

Once it started to warm up Mommy and I went and played a little in the snow in the front yard. I got to see Molly! She came over to visit me. She brought me a Valentines Day present. I also got cards in the mail from Creenie & Pop Pop, Grandma's and Grandpa's too! Daddy and I got Mommy some flowers sent to her work.
She really liked them.

Mommy helped me with getting valentines ready for the kids at Day Care. I even got some candy and cookies! I'm not sure what Valentine's Day is all about, but it is always better with cookies.

The next weekend, Mommy dragged Daddy with her to work. So I got to go hang out with my cousin Hailey. Aunt Mary and Uncle Marshall were there too. I played with Hailey all day. We made some food in her kitchen. I was nice and let her cuddle with my Dr. Pepper pillow. Mommy says it is dirty, but I think it is just right.

Mommy & Daddy came to get me after I took a nap and then we went to see Great Aunt Barb and Great Uncle Phil. They were celebrating a long time together. I was having a lot of fun chasing around all of the kids. Grace and Braxton were there with Aunt JohAnna and Grandma Karen & Grandpa Ed. I even got to see Ava, one of my newest cousins!

The next day Grandpa Carl and Grandma Katy came over to our house for dinner! Daddy made my favorite spaghetti. I ate lots of noodles, carrots, and even garlic bread. That is some yummy stuff. I got to show Grandma all of my toys and I showed Grandpa where I keep all of my cars and balls.

My favorite game is "I'm going to get you!" I play it with Mommy and Daddy a lot. It is the most fun game ever. Mommy uploaded a video to prove it to you. She says that playing it is good exercise for her because we run around the house a lot. She said when it gets warm, we can play it outside!

This past Friday I went to see Dr. Kaye. I hadn't seen her since before Christmas! Mommy said that was a good thing. I got measured and weighed and stuff. Here are the numbers:

Length/Height: 30.75 inches = 76%
Weight: 26 lbs 9 oz = 90%
Head: 19.125 inches = 97%

I got new shoes over the weekend! They are like socks but have a cushy sole. Mommy said now that I have outside shoes I can walk so she doesn't have to carry me.
I walked to the car in the garage today, and from the car to the door at day care. I'm so used to being carried everywhere, it was very cool to be able to do it on my own.

Tonight we went to see Grandma Katy & Grandpa Carl for dinner. We picked up hamburgers. I had a cheeseburger. It was awesome. I like cheeseburgers...and peaches. Grandma had this toy that she said my older cousins played with when they were my age. She showed me how to use it and I figured it out. Everyone thought it was pretty smart of me to put the little yellow things in the holes. It's too bad that they didn't know that I have other toys that do that too.

Happy B-day Eve to my cousin Hailey!! She turns 2 tomorrow!! Maybe I will bring my singing Happy Birthday bear to her party...that would be very cool.

1 year 1 month

Happy 1 year and 1 month birthday to me, to me! I got a present of SNOW!

Mommy has had to work late a lot recently. She was gone most of the day this past Saturday at work. I played with Daddy all day, but I was wondering when she was coming home and went looking for her. I checked all of the rooms she is normally in, and couldn't find her. Soon after Daddy let me talk to her on the phone. I told her to come home right away, but she must not have understood what I said, because she didn't come home until I woke up from my nap.

One day after day care I got to go to work with Mommy for a while. I was helping her organize the papers she has in her office on the floor. I'm a good organizer, I made lots of piles of papers, they were almost all spread out, so you could see them all. That is how they are supposed to look.

Mommy spent the first night away from me a while back (Jan 15). I played with Daddy all day on Saturday. We watched cartoons, played with cars and watched some football too! We had pizza from Grady's for dinner. That is some yummy stuff I tell ya. I wish I could eat pizza for every meal!

On Sunday, I had a visit from my cousin Luci. She hung out with me while Daddy went to a friends house. I showed Luci all of the toys I got for my birthday. After she left it was me and Daddy again. Then I realized that Mommy was gone. I went and knocked on all of the doors to the rooms she usually is in. She wasn't there. I didn't get to see her until Monday morning. I don't know what she was doing, but I missed her a lot. I think she missed me too, she wouldn't stop kissing me for a long time and it took me a while to figure out why.

I did have lots of fun with Grandma Katy. I got to play with her and Grandpa one Tuesday night because Mommy went to help Leta and Bill with their computers. Grandma and I like to sing songs. Then on another night we went to visit because Daddy was installing a new computer for Grandma.

Grandma Karen came and hung out with me on a Saturday so Mommy and Daddy could have some time alone. We played and played. Once Mommy and Daddy got back I fell asleep with Daddy rocking me in the chair. That is the best way to fall asleep!

Last Friday I had my friend Presley come over with her Mom. We were rocking it out to Ke$ha again. She is a good dancer too. Better than I am. Mommy said she will post the video of us dancing.

This week has been real fun so far! Since we got this big snow, Mommy and Daddy got to stay home with me today! Mommy stayed with me yesterday. I miss Dawn and Brie and the kids at daycare though. I wonder if I'll go see them tomorrow. Mommy said that there is a lot of snow. We have a drift that is as tall as me, maybe even taller!

I sure hope Grandpa Carl made me some snow drifts. I want to play in the snow when it warms up this weekend!

Dancing and More Medicine

I got a cool outfit from Germany! Mommy said its a uniform for the football team in Munich. It's bright red and white. I have to be careful when I eat with it on.

I'm glad to be back at day care again. I was starting to miss having a routine. Daddy, Mommy and I would sleep in real late and then get up. It didn't take me long to start waking up at 6:30 am again though. I'm HUNGRY!

Last Thursday I went back to see Dr. Russel to see how my tubes were doing. He said that my ears looked great! However, he said that he knew why my nose was snotty all the time. He said I had a sinus infection. So, I got more medicine. One is a steroid and the other is an antibiotic. He said to come back and see him in two weeks.

On Saturday we went to Megan's birthday party. I sat with Lily and her Grandma Sue along with Mommy and Daddy. Lily and I were talking and making eyes at each other. Lily likes to have her picture taken. I hope that Megan likes the present we got her.

I'm starting to get used to this whole drinking out of a sippy cup thing. The only problem is that sometimes I get too much in my mouth and it runs down my face. Daddy is not a fan of this. Mommy isn't really either, because my shirt will smell funny by the end of the day usually.

Mommy and I listen to music a lot at home. That means I dance a lot at home. I like to dance to just about anything really. Mommy tries to get it on video, but I usually stop when she gets it all set up.

I'm excited I got to see Khloe this week! She came over with her mom to visit and give me a birthday gift. I'm already loving the puzzle pieces and books. I can't wait to watch the Shawn the Sheep video with Mommy.

Speaking of that, I get a weekend with Daddy! Mommy is going with Erin somewhere, and it will be just us men in the house this weekend. We'll, except for when Luci comes over to hang out with me. I'm going to miss Mommy a lot, but am excited that I get to hang with Daddy! We're going to watch football!

Go Bears!!

It's my Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday to me! Today is my birthday! I've come a long way in a year. It seems like yesterday that Mommy and Daddy were at home with me all day long. I would sleep all the time. I didn't have to wear a coat because I sat in a special seat that kept me warm. However, there are some advantages to being big.

I can get where I want to by walking! I can hold my own drink. I can pick up a toy and put it in my mouth. I can see where we're going when riding in the car. I also am happy to smile back at people I love. I can also giggle and dance too!

Mommy took me to a museum as an early birthday present on Tuesday. My friend Chris B. came with us. She took pictures of me and Mommy playing. I had so much fun there! They have a shiny slide and stairs I could climb on! I went up and down the slide so many times, I didn't want to leave there! Then we went up stairs and I played on the tractor! I rode in the combine! It was just like Grandpa Carl's. I fed the cows, and then we took some of the grain to the elevator so it could be made into the O's I eat for breakfast sometimes!

We went to the top floor in the elevator and I played the drums! Then I played this piano by walking around. It was hard for me to press the keys so Mommy helped me. I did get it to go once or twice! They had a stage and there were other kids playing on it too! I went in this dark room and saw my shadow on a screen. I didn't like the dark so I kept going back into the big room. I was tired when we left, and fell asleep in the car before we got to the end of the block! I hope we can go back soon! Mommy and Chris took me to Avanti's after that, and I slept on Mommy until the food came. Then I ate some spaghetti!

On Wednesday I went back to daycare and got to see all of the kids for one last time. Thursday we went for a long car ride to see Creenie and Pop Pop. Mommy and Daddy love them very much, and I do too! They have some really cool Santa's! One of them was showing me some dance moves! Another one read me a story. When we were there I got to eat my favorite sweet potatoes! We got back home after dark, just in time for me to play with toys from Christmas!!

Friday was my birthday Eve Eve, and we went to Lily & Megan's for a party! Maddie was there too with her parents, along with Greg and Lily and Megan's. Lily and I have a tendency to like the same toys. She would take what I was planing with from me. So, I would take it back from her. That's how we share. I stayed up pretty late, since Mommy and Daddy were still up too. I woke up at 7 am and was ready for the day. I can't help it that Mommy and Daddy stayed up until 3 am and wanted to sleep in.

Yesterday was my birthday party! We went to the same place Mommy had her birthday party. I saw all kinds of people who love me there!! Janet, Maureen, Kathy & Mike M., Linda and Mike S., Toni & Brian just to name a few! Kathy and Mike came from far away to see me! I was happy running around with Hailey, Thomas, and Grace. Grandma Karen kept good track of me and gave me some snacks of peaches and yogurt.

Then it was cake time! I had two cakes! One was a big one that looked like me with that darn Elmer Fudd hat Mommy likes to put on me. The other cake was smaller and just had a red thing on it. So then Mommy let me do what I wanted to the cake! I wasn't sure what to do so I just touched it a bit...then everyone laughed and said for me to lick my fingers. Oh, was that a surprise or what!! Yummy sweetness on my tongue!

Before I new it, I was sitting with Aunt Chris and she was encouraging me to eat and play more with the cake. Can I tell you how good it feels to squish it in your hands! I thought I was one of those people on TV, there were flashes everywhere. So, after I ate some cake and got it in my hair, and on my shirt, I got cleaned up and played around again! I was chasing Hailey and Thomas!

Eventually I got tired and took a nap on Daddy. We didn't get home until way after it was dark! I had dinner with Mommy and then we opened my presents. I got lot's of books! I also got more of the Little People sets! Mommy read me the cards, and before we knew it it was almost 10 o'clock and I needed to go to bed! We only got half way through my presents!

I let Mommy sleep in a little bit today so that we could open the rest of my presents after breakfast! I am so thankful that so many people love me! We played around at home until we went to Aunt JohAnna's for a special meal. The bad part was that I couldn't eat most of what they were cooking!

I had a GREAT weekend and a very happy birthday!! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes everyone!!

xoxo,
Myles
